INCREASE BRAND VISIBILITY AND MARKETING CONSISTENCY

Take the following steps to create a brand board to increase brand visibility and marketing consistency.

Branding in business is all about setting the desired mood and intended tone for your client.

There are a few simple steps you can take in advance of creating your website and social media accounts to ensure strategic methodology in your graphic design and marketing efforts.

FIRST

Create a business mood board on Pinterest.

Ask yourself who your client is. Where do they shop? What is their style? What brands do they like? How old are they? Pin accordingly. Ask yourself what transformation your business is providing.

Getting super specific is key. Search engines rely on keywords and repetition so knowing your client’s shopping habits and search patterns will help you with your marketing messaging and imagery.

SECOND

Choose three to five words that best describe the emotional transformation you want your client to have when visiting your business online.

How does your website make them feel? Are they calm? Are they excited?

Add your descriptive words to the following: “web design,” “logo,” “color and font combinations” and search on Pinterest.

Example: Calming web design

Do the same with design & style. Is the design minimalistic? Is it feminine? Is it Retro?

Example: Feminine logo

Pin accordingly.

THIRD

Once you have a full Pinterest mood board including the elements mentioned above, it’s time to cherry pic. Choose the best of the best colors, logos, fonts and photos – delete the rest.
